The kit proposed by Dragon company includes a plastic model kit of German medium tank in 1:72 scale.
Pz.Kpfw.IV is a German medium tank from the period of the Second World War. In the initial phase of the war, it was the heaviest vehicle used by the German army. The tank started its duty during the Polish campaign in 1939 and it remained the basic armored vehicle of the German armored forces from that moment, even despite the appearance of more advanced vehicles.
Pz.Kpfw.IV tank was produced in several development versions. Versions A, B, C and D were equipped with a short barrel 75mm KwK.37 L/24 gun. The next versions, starting with Ausf.F, were equipped with a 75mm KwK.43 L/43 and L/48 guns. The replacement of the gun resulted in the increase in the weight of the machine and a reduction of the maximum speed. The production version Ausf.H was the most-produced variant of this tank. It inherited side armor Schurzen after version G and 75mm gun KwK.40 L/48. These tanks were also covered with Zimmerit coat. The last version of the Pz.Kpfw.IV tank was the Ausf.J version characterized by the use of many structural simplifications to speed up the production process of the vehicle.
On the basis of the Pz.Kpfw.IV tank chassis a large number of other vehicles were created, such as tank destroyers (Nashorn, StuG.IV, Jagdpanzer IV), self-propelled artillery (Hummel), anti-aircraft vehicles (Wirbelwind, Mobelwagen, Ostwind) or ammunition and engineering vehicles.
