The kit proposed by IBG company includes a plastic model kit of German medium tank.
Panzerkampfwagen III is a German medium tank from the period of World War II. Initially, it was to be the core of the German armored forces, however, over time and the emergence of more advanced constructions, its role was marginalized and became primarily an infantry support vehicle. It was equipped with a cannon, depending on the version, 37mm, 50mm (from the Ausf.E version) and 75mm (in the Ausf.N version). Each production series (Ausf.A - Ausf.N) was characterized by improved driving and battle performance properties that forced warfare and newly emerging enemy armored constructions. The vehicle crew consisted of five tankers. In 1943 production of this vehicle was discontinued, focusing primarily on more advanced constructions.
German tank destroyers Sturmgeschutz StuG.III and self-propelled artillery Sturmhaubitze StuH.42 were created on chassis of this tank. In addition, a command vehicle and flamethrower tank were designed on the basis of the vehicle. An interesting fact is that the Russians used this vehicle to build tank destroyers SU-76I and SU-85I.
