Tamiya 1:72 A-129 Mangusta

The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of Italian assault helicopter in 1:72 scale.

The appearance of the helicopter revolutionized the battlefield completely. In addition to transport and serving as platforms for fire support, those machines drew attention to the other options. First of all the possibility of carrying anti-tank weapons was noted. The first tank hunter helicopter produced in a country in Western Europe was the A-129 Mangusta. Designed in the late 70s Italian helicopter of Agusta company met only the tank destroyer role, and its equipment was only missiles. However, it has not made a big publicity or interest in the international arena, due to the lack of other weapons. Only development version A-129 International retrofitted a cannon attracted in the interest of Turkey, where the machine acts as the primary attack helicopter. Currently, all Mangustas undergo a modernization to make them more universal. The helicopter was used in combat in Somalia and Afghanistan.

Tamiya plastic model set allows assembly of the Italian attack helicopter A-129 Mangusta. Box includes two sprues with parts, transparent pilot, and gunner cockpit cover and decals.

Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.

• Tamiya XF-1 (propeller blades, elements of the cockpit, tires)
• Tamiya XF-19 (cockpit)
• Tamiya XF-56 (metal elements, engine, and rotors)
• Tamiya X-11 (metal elements of hydraulic)
