GWH 1/72 Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker B - HEAVY FIGHTER - SERVICE IN CHINA 30TH ANNIVERSARY

The GWH model kit features a plastic model of the Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker B fighter jet in 1/72 scale, commemorating 30 years of service of this aircraft in the Chinese Air Force. The model represents the heavy fighter version used in a protective air mission.

Technical Description and Features

The Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker B is a Soviet, multirole fourth-generation jet fighter developed by the Sukhoi design bureau. Its AL-31F engine and aerodynamic design allow it to reach high speeds and perform advanced aerial maneuvers. The Su-27 was designed to ensure air superiority and operational support through a wide range of armament and radar systems.

The 1/72 scale model reflects the structural details of the original aircraft, including panel lines, armament, and cockpit (two-seat version). The set includes high-quality plastic parts, photo-etched details, and transparent elements, enabling precise reproduction of features such as the cockpit canopy.

Contents of the Set

  • Plastic sprues with assembly parts
  • Photo-etched details for enhanced accuracy
  • Transparent parts for the cockpit canopy
  • Masking decals for precise cockpit canopy painting
  • Decal sheet with markings and insignia
  • Assembly instructions with step-by-step guidance and painting scheme

Model Assembly

Remove individual parts from the sprues, fit together, and glue following the instructions. It is recommended to paint the model with hobby paints according to the included painting scheme, representing the version used by the Chinese Air Force. Some parts require painting before assembly. After painting, apply decals as indicated in the instructions.

Recommended Tools and Materials

  • Pliers for cutting parts from sprues
  • Precision hobby knife
  • File or sandpaper for smoothing edges
  • Plastic model glue
  • Brush or airbrush for painting
  • Hobby paints (please note, the set does not include paints or glue)

Recommended Paint Colors

  • Gray camouflage – shades: FS36375 / FS36118 (Standard Russian gray)
  • Canopy – transparent, slightly tinted
  • Cockpit components – black and dark gray with green and red details
  • Highlight metallic details in engine and landing gear areas

Compatibility

The model is compatible with accessories and aftermarket sets designed for 1/72 scale, such as metal landing gear, resin detail sets, and diorama elements. This allows for expanding the display with realistic details and specialized accessories.
