The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of Russian assault aircraft in 1:72 scale.

The Tamiya kit allows tobuild the Mig-29 Fulcrum the Soviet fighter plane. This aircraft was an answer to the American F-15 Eagle. Designed at the turn of the 1970s and 1980s, Mig is characterized by great maneuverability and speed. The ability to equip with additional armament of 2-5.5 tons makes it one of the most versatile machines of its kind in the world. Mig-29 is still used today in Russia and in the other countries of the former Warsaw Pact.

In the box are 2 frames with plastic elements, a transparent compact with elements of the fairing of the cab and decals.

Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.

Paints suggested by the manufacturer for the best effect:

  • Tamiya XF-19, XF-22 (dark gray hull and camouflage)
  • Tamiya XF-19, XF-66 (light gray fuselage and camouflage)
  • Tamiya XF-19, XF-5 (green hull and camouflage)
  • Tamiya XF-19 (cockpit, chassis)
  • Tamiya XF-1 (pilot seat, cabin elements, wheels)
  • Tamiya XF-62 (seat upholstery)
  • Tamiya X-18 (cockpit elements)
  • Tamiya X-11 (chassis and hydraulics components)
  • Tamiya X-1, X-2, XF-24 (rockets)

 

Set contains:

  • The assembly instruction.
  • Frames with plastic parts.
  • Decals.
  • Frames with plastic parts including transparent parts.

 

Kit does NOT contain paints and glue.

Here are the basic tools and materials you need:

  • Pilers for cutting plastic parts.
  • Modeling penknife.
  • File or sandpaper.
  • Cement for plastic models.
  • Brush or airbrush.
  • Modeling paints.

    Nie wiem czy to wina mojego egzemplarza, ale bardzo dramatyczne spasowanie wymagające wręcz wyrzeźbienia sylwetki w szpachli. Mimo to całkiem fajny rezultat, polecam jako naukę szpachlowania
