More info
The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of American fourth generation turbo-jet fighter in 1:72 scale.
The F-16 is an aircraft designed in the 1960s by not existing General Dynamics company. Originally, the aircraft was developed as a lightweight air superiority fighter, but its superior performance and profound modifications made it one of the most versatile multirole aircraft in the world today. After more than 30 years of uninterrupted service, the F-16s were modified (so-called Block), which enabled their operational capabilities to fit into the group of 4.5 generation fighters. In the USAF, these planes are being phased out of service to the more modern F-35 Lightning II, but Lockheed continues to run the F-16 modernization program for export.
The Tamiya kit allows building the modern American Lockheed Martin F-16CJ Fighting Falcon Block 50 with a pilot figurine. In the box, there are 6 frames with parts of the plane, frame with transparent elements of cockpit fairings and decals.
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
Paints suggested by the manufacturer for the best effect:
Plane:
Tamiya spray AS-26, AS-27, AS-28 (hull and camouflage)
