The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of German fighter in 1:72 scale.
The main Luftwaffe fighter plane in the early years of World War II was the Messerschmitt BF 109 E series. Very fast and well-armed that surpassed most allied fighters, apart from its main rival - the Spitfire. During the Battle of Britain, it bared its biggest drawback - range. 109-s could stay above Britain for only 15 minutes, which resulted in giant losses in bombers and settlement defeat in this crucial battle. Subsequent versions of the BF 109 series E-7 were equipped with extra fuel tanks to increase their range and they first debut was in North Africa. BF 109 E served in the Luftwaffe until 1942, when the linear units began to exchange them with F series planes.
