The kit proposed by IBG company includes a plastic model kit of Polish bomber in 1:72 scale.
PZL 42 was a light bomber, built as an experimental machine based on PZL 23 Karas. It was a low-profile metal structure, with a fixed chassis and three crew members. The aircraft was based on the serial Karas aircraft but had a number of structural changes, as well as several technological innovations. The first change involved a malfunction that had been converted to double. This increased the area of rear-firing MG and improved the characteristics of the aircraft in dive and mowing. The second major modernization was the introduction of a completely new observer position, equipped with a gondola under his weight, which had in flight to the interior of the hull. Thanks to this solution, the aircraft had less aerodynamic drag and better performance. PZL 42 never went beyond the prototype phase but turned out to be a very important element of the program of light bombers in the interwar years in Poland. Based on the experience of the aircraft, work began on the modern bomber PZL 46 Sum in the late 1930s. Further development of this type of aircraft blocked the outbreak of war, and the only copy of PZL 42 was destroyed by German bombs at the Cadet Aviation School in Deblin.
The IBG kit allows you building the model of the Polish PZL 42 bomber. The box contains 5 frames with elements of the model, a transparent frame with elements of the cabin, a photo-etched frame, and decals (allow reconstruction of the aircraft from the Aviation School in Deblin, September. 1939).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
