The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of British onboard aircraft in 1:72 scale.
Due to the losses suffered by naval aircraft in clashes with Japanese fighters, the Americans led the work on the introduction of new types of carrier-capable fighters. One idea was to build such a machine, based on the most powerful of the existing engines - Pratt &, Whitney R-2800. As a result of this work, an airplane with a broken wing profile, the vast speeds (up to 700 km/h!) and powerful weaponry in the 6 .50 HMG-s was constructed. Due to the low visibility during takeoff and landing, aircraft has not taken off as a carrier fighter. With considerable success, it was flown by Marine Corps pilots, operating from ground bases.
Tamiya plastic scale model kit allows assembly of the American fighter Vought F4U-1A Corsair. Box includes 3 sprues, transparent cockpit cover, and decals.
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
