More info
The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of American assault aircraft in 1:72 scale.
The Tamiya kit allows building the US P-47D Thunderbolt Razorback US Army fighter model. An airplane can be built together with additional fuel tanks, rockets or bombs. The Thunderbolts were the most produced American war fighters. Although partially superseded by the P-51 Mustang, firstly it was used for bomber escort missions and then armed with bombs and rockets as assault aircraft. They were so popular that some pilots refused to rearm in newer aircraft. P-47 remained in use until the end of the war.
The box contains 4 frames with model elements, frame with transparent parts of the cab and decals (allow reconstruction of 61 or 69 fighter squadrons).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
