More info

The kit proposed by Revell company includes a plastic model kit of German fighter in 1:72 scale.

Focke Wulf Fw-190 is a single-seater and single-engine German fighter from the times of the Second World War. Produced in over 20,000 copies, including about 6,000 in the assault-bomber version. The aircraft was created as a safeguard in case it turned out that other countries fighters are better than the Messerschmitt Bf-109. The fighter was designed by Kurt Tank, who developed a design of a small fighter with a compact design with an 18 cylinder, air-cooled, BMW 139 star engine. Due to the anticipated specificity of war production, Professor Tankas team constructed a machine that was easy to manufacture to the point that it could be built by factories which have not any experience in the construction of aircraft.

The F version is a fighter-assault aircraft designed to carry bombs. This version was additionally equipped with armor protecting the bottom of the hull, which affected the reduction of the number of weapons, to keep the unchanged weight of the aircraft. The most-produced F-type aircraft was the F-8 version, capable of flying below 1000 meters and equipped with wing deflectors. It is worth noting that the G version was also a fighter-assault aircraft, but this time the focus was on the range. The production of these aircraft did not exceed 800 pieces.
