Eduard 1/72 Messerschmitt Bf-109 G-6 - WEEKEND Edition

This is a kit for building a plastic model of the German fighter aircraft Messerschmitt Bf-109 G-6 in 1/72 scale. The model depicts the G-6 version, introduced into Luftwaffe service in 1943, equipped with a Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine, allowing speeds of up to 640 km/h. The aircraft features armament consisting of two MG 131 machine guns and an MG 151/20 cannon mounted on the propeller hub. The model allows for the addition of external underwing stores such as rockets or cannons.

Technical specifications and features of the model:

  • Scale: 1/72
  • Aircraft type: Messerschmitt Bf-109 G-6 fighter
  • Material: high-quality plastic for assembly
  • Contents of the set:
    • Plastic sprues with model parts
    • Clear parts for the cockpit canopy
    • Decal sheet with markings and insignia
    • Assembly and painting instructions
  • Tools and materials required (not included):
    • Plastic nippers for removing parts from sprues
    • Modeling knife
    • File or sandpaper
    • Model glue or plastic cement
    • Brushes or airbrush for painting
    • Model paints

Building and finishing the model:

Individual parts should be carefully removed from the sprues, cleaned, and assembled according to the included instructions. It is recommended to paint some details before assembly for more precise detailing. After assembly, the model is painted with hobby paints according to the suggested schemes in the instructions, followed by decal application as indicated by the markings.

Suggested colors for painting the Messerschmitt Bf-109 G-6:

  • RAL 7028 Dunkelgelb (dark yellow) – main fuselage color
  • RAL 7015 Schiefergrau (slate gray) – camouflage on the upper surfaces
  • RAL 6003 Olivgrün (olive green) – camouflage
  • Black and white – details, insignia, and fuselage markings

Compatibility and extensions:

The model is compatible with a wide range of Eduard accessories and products from other manufacturers dedicated to 1/72 scale, such as photo-etched detail sets, canopies, and weapon upgrade sets. This allows for expansion and detailed representation of the aircraft according to the modeler’s preferences.

Note: The set does not include glue or hobby paints. If you have questions regarding accessory selection or color schemes, please contact us for professional assistance.
