Surface Preparation and Painting
Before applying the paint, surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned and degreased. It is recommended to use a primer, which significantly improves paint adhesion and coating durability, especially when painting with a brush. For quick priming, Tamiya Surface Primer is recommended.
Brush Painting
Small surfaces can be painted undiluted.
For larger areas, light dilution with water is recommended.
The paint should be diluted at a 1:1 ratio with Tamiya X-20A thinner.
This mixture allows smooth flow through the nozzle, minimizing clogging risk.
During painting, it is recommended to wear a mask and work in a fumes extraction booth.
Alternatively, use stronger thinners such as Lacquer Thinner or Mr. Levelling Thinner, which improve paint flow at the cost of a stronger smell.
Color Compatibility and Mixing
