The bottle contains 10 ml of Tamiya acrylic hobby paint in Light Grey (XF-66). This alcohol-based paint features a low odor level (●●○○○), making it easier to use in enclosed spaces.
Application
Tamiya XF-66 is designed for precise painting of plastic models, especially cars, aircraft, and military vehicles. It is compatible with most plastics used in modeling and works well with other paints from the Tamiya series starting with X- and XF- designations. This allows you to create accurate color mixes according to manufacturer instructions and achieve professional results.
Can be diluted with water for brush painting and with other thinners (Lacquer Thinner, Mr. Levelling Thinner) for airbrushing
Compatible with other Tamiya paints for custom color mixing
Surface Preparation
Before painting, thoroughly clean and degrease the model's surface. For enhanced durability and finish quality, it is recommended to apply a primer, such as Tamiya Surface Primer. Using primer improves paint adhesion and results in an even finish, especially important when painting with a brush.
Painting Instructions
Brush Painting
It is recommended to apply a primer first.
Small areas can be painted with the paint undiluted.
For larger surfaces, slight water dilution is allowed.
The paint should be diluted 1:1 with Tamiya X-20A.
This ratio ensures optimal flow and minimizes the risk of nozzle clogging.
It is advisable to use respiratory protection (mask, spray booth with exhaust).
Alternatively, you can dilute the paint with stronger thinners, such as Lacquer Thinner or Mr. Levelling Thinner, although these have a more pungent odor.
