The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of American patrol aircraft in 1:72 scale.
In the early 1970s, British designed a very innovative aircraft that had the capability of vertical takeoff and landing. It entered service primarily on aircraft carriers. Americans have cooperated in the development of this type of machinery. Due to the high cost of the next project, the British side withdrew of modernization of existing Harriers. AV-8B Harrier II is a recognition and support aircraft. Americans have modernized the first version of Harrier so much that they have increased all their performance results and capabilities. New Harriers were able to operate in the area up to 1000 km, reach a speed of Mach 0.89 and transfer up to 4 tons of armament. They joined the Marine Corps Corps and participated in both wars in Iraq and in the Afghanistan war.
The kit offered by Tamiya allows building American McDonnell Douglas AV-8B Harrier II model. The box contains 2 frames with parts, a transparent cockpit cover and a decal.
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
