The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of Italian fourth generation turbo-jet fighter in 1:72 scale.
The budget cuts of the 1960s made the British unable to afford the production of a modern fighter aircraft so they decided to undertake extensive cooperation in the European countries in order to construct a new aircraft. The result of this cooperation was the Tornado (UK F3). British, German and Italian companies were responsible for the production of subassemblies. Tornado is a heavy fighter plane and a fighter-bomber with variable wing geometry. Production took place in three versions - assault, interception, and electronic combat. At present most of the aircraft are withdrawn from service due to high operating costs and plans to replace it with a newer machine.
The Tamiya kit allows you to build Tornado F3. The box contains 2 frames with plastic parts, clear cabin cover and decals.
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
