The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of British patrol aircraft in 1:72 scale.
De Havilland Mosquito was designed as a fast, twin-engined reconnaissance aircraft, but it turned out to offer far more possibilities. The design allows achieving the speed of 600 km / h, which was a challenge for almost every modern fighter. Almost immediately, work began on the adaptation of the new aircraft to a variety of tasks, from hunters to bomber and reconnaissance. The Mosquitos were able to carry up to 1800 kg of bombs of various types, depending on the missions tasks. The biggest advantage of new bombers was speed, precision, and the element of surprise. The Mosquitos have taken part in many special raids on German installations along almost the entire Festung Europa, with very little personal losses. Some of the bomber aircraft were also adapted to their original role - reconnaissance. For this purpose, additional fuel tanks were installed instead of the bomb chamber, which greatly increased the operational range of the Mosquitos.
The Tamiya kit allows building a British WW-2 De Havilland Mosquito, B Mk.IV or PR Mk.IV. In the box, there are 5 frames parts with plane elements, frame with transparent parts and decals (allow reconstruction of 105 or 109 bomber aircraft or 540 Reconnaissance Squadron).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
