Revell 1:72 Republic P-47M Thunderbolt

The kit proposed by Revell company includes a plastic model kit of American assault aircraft in 1:72 scale.

The most produced American fighter of World War II was Republic P-47 Thunderbolt. He was the largest single-seater fighter of this period. Thanks to its powerful engine, it was able to achieve very high speeds of up to 700 km / h. Its armament consisted of 8 MGs of 12.7 mm, and it was also capable of attaching rockets or bombs under the wings. The P-47 M was designed specifically to eliminate German V-1 flying bombs. Difficulties with an adaptation of the aircraft to the new propulsion unit, however, caused that the aircraft entered service only at the end of the war. By this time, the Thunderbolts had such a sympathy for the pilots that flyers from the 56 pursuit groups with the choice of the famous Mustangs opted for the new P-47M.

The Revell kit allows building the Republic P-47M Thunderbolt American fighter. The box contains 4 frames with airplane elements, transparent parts of pilots cockpit and decals (allow to reconstruct machines of 62 or 63 squadrons 56 chase group).

Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
