The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of Japanese fighter in 1:72 scale.
The Tamiya kit allows building the Mitsubishi A6M2b Zero (Zeke) Japanese fighter plane from WWII. This was the first mass-produced version of Zero. It was adapted to operate from aircraft carrier decks and participated in all major Pacific campaign battles, from Pearl Harbor, the Coral Sea, Midway, Guadalcanal, and the Philippines. Zeros started the war as the best aircraft in Pacific region, but during the war, Japanese losses on pilots and aircrafts and technical development of US Army and Navy aviation tilted the balance to the other side.
The box contains 2 frames with airplane elements, a frame with transparent elements of the cockpit and a rich set of decals for up to 8 aircraft (fighter jets stationed on Akagi aircraft carriers), Soryu [Fusata Iida], Zuikaku Sato], Shokaku [Hideki Shindo], Junyo, or Tainan [sergeant Saburo Sakai], 201, 261)
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
Paints suggested by the manufacturer for the best effect:
Tamiya XF-11 or spray AS-21 (dark green camouflage)
