We present the Airfix VINTAGE CLASSIC 1:76 25PDR FIELD GUN AND QUAD model kit set, allowing you to build a detailed replica of the British 25-pounder field howitzer (25PDR Field Gun) along with its Quad artillery tractor. The model is designed in 1/76 scale, making it a compact addition to military miniature collections or historical dioramas, especially those depicting scenes from World War II.
This Airfix kit focuses on precisely replicating one of the most recognizable artillery sets of the British Army. The 25-pounder howitzer was Britain's primary field gun during World War II, valued for its versatility and reliability. The four-wheel drive Quad tractor was used to tow the gun, providing mobility across various terrains.

Building the model requires precision and basic modeling tools. The assembly process involves cutting parts from the sprues, fitting them, and gluing them according to the included instruction manual. Some parts may require painting before final gluing for an optimal effect. After assembling and painting the model, decals should be applied, which will further enhance its realism.
This kit does NOT include paints or glue, which are essential to complete the model.

The assembly guide includes detailed painting schemes. For British military vehicles from World War II, the most common color scheme was based on British Khaki Green No. 3 (equivalents in Humbrol systems: e.g., 159 Khaki Drab; Tamiya: e.g., XF-61 Dark Green). Depending on the theater of operations, camouflage patterns with the addition of Dark Earth (Humbrol 29) or Light Stone might also have been used. We recommend consulting the manufacturer's instruction manual to select the most appropriate shades.
