The bottle contains 10 ml of Tamiya LP-11 Silver cellulose lacquer, designed for precise finishing of plastic model surfaces. Part of the Lacquer Paint series, this lacquer features a quick drying time and excellent coverage, resulting in an even and durable coat with a high-quality finish.
The Tamiya LP-11 Silver lacquer is designed for painting plastic models, especially those requiring a metallic, silver finish. It works perfectly with cars, aircraft, miniatures, and other elements where a precise, metallic gloss coating is needed.
Preparation and Painting Instructions
Surface Preparation
Before applying the lacquer, thoroughly clean and degrease the model surface. It is recommended to use a primer to improve adhesion and durability of the coat. For quick priming, Tamiya Surface Primer is recommended.
Painting
Airbrush: The lacquer should be thinned in a 1:1 ratio with Tamiya Lacquer Thinner for optimal flow and to prevent nozzle clogging. Alternatively, you can use Lacquer Thinner Retarder Type, which prolongs drying time and improves the smoothness of the coat.
Brush: Hand painting with a brush is not recommended except for small touch-ups, due to the strong solvent content which can damage underlying layers and cause streaks.
Safety
When airbrushing, use proper respiratory protection, such as a mask, and perform work in a well-ventilated space or paint booth, due to the intense odor and chemical composition of the paint.
