Application
The primer is used for the initial coating of plastic parts, enhancing the adhesion of base paints and making surface imperfections from modeling and sanding more visible. Applying a primer is recommended before painting to:

Usage Instructions
Before painting, surfaces should be thoroughly degreased. It is recommended to wash the model gently with dish soap or wipe with isopropyl alcohol. This will remove contaminants that could affect the adhesion quality of the primer.
Then, apply the primer evenly from a distance of about 20-30 cm, using short, smooth motions. After application, allow the model to dry completely before applying the base hobby paint.

The Tamiya SURFACE PRIMER is compatible with most hobby paints available on the market, including acrylic and enamel paints. Its neutral grey color is particularly recommended before painting with metallic, grey, black, or other base colors used in historical and technical modeling.
