The Roden 1:72 Felixstowe F.2A model kit offers aviation and modeling enthusiasts the opportunity to independently build a detailed replica of the British World War I patrol seaplane. This 1/72 scale model, produced by Roden, features precise detailing of the historical aircraft, making it an excellent choice for static collections or dioramas.
The primary purpose of this product is to build a realistic, static aircraft model. This kit is designed for modelers who appreciate the challenges associated with assembly and detail painting.
Kit Contents
This kit includes all key components necessary for model assembly:
Plastic Sprues: Containing precisely molded parts made from high-quality polystyrene, ready for removal and assembly.
Clear Parts: Dedicated to replicating cockpit glazing or other details requiring transparency.
Decal Sheet: Allowing for the application of authentic markings and graphic details, in accordance with historical painting schemes.
Assembly Guide: A detailed step-by-step guide illustrating the model assembly stages, as well as painting and decal placement diagrams.
Assembly and Painting Process
Model construction begins with precisely cutting the parts from the sprues. These then need to be fitted and glued, strictly following the assembly guide. Many parts require painting before assembly, which allows for more thorough paint coverage of hard-to-reach areas. Once the main structure is assembled, the model is ready for the painting stage. The instruction manual includes suggested color schemes and decal placement, which give the model its final, realistic appearance.
