Surface Preparation

When using an airbrush, it is best to dilute the lacquer in a 1:1 ratio with Tamiya Lacquer Thinner. To slow down the drying time, you can use Lacquer Thinner Retarder Type, which helps achieve a perfectly smooth surface. It is recommended to use appropriate respiratory protection and work in a well-ventilated area or with an extraction system.
Brush
Painting with a brush is only suitable for small areas or touch-ups. Due to the presence of strong solvents, applying lacquer with a brush may cause smudging of previous layers and streaks.
