A 10 ml bottle of high-quality oil hobby paint TAMIYA in the Park Green Gloss shade. Oil enamel provides excellent adhesion and durability of the coating, giving models a realistic glossy finish.
Ideal for: painting plastic, metal, and wooden models
Application
Tamiya enamel paints are widely used for painting model kits, whether plastic or metal. The Park Green Gloss color is perfect for recreating military vehicles and dioramas that require accurately depicted shiny green surfaces. The paint is compatible with other Tamiya paints marked with X- and XF- codes, allowing hobbyists to create custom color mixes as needed.
Surface Preparation
Before painting, surfaces should be clean and degreased.
It is recommended to use a primer for better adhesion and finish (e.g., Tamiya Surface Primer) in spray form.
Oil enamel can also be applied without a primer — it adheres well to plastic, metal, and wood surfaces.
Painting Techniques
Brush Painting
Small surfaces can be painted with undiluted paint.
For larger surfaces, it is recommended to lightly thin the paint with Tamiya X-20 (blue-capped version).
Tamiya paints spread well with a brush; use X-20 thinner for cleaning brushes.
Airbrush Painting
Tamiya oil paints can also be used with an airbrush. The recommended thinning ratio is 1:1 with Tamiya X-20 thinner.
When airbrushing, always wear respiratory protection (e.g., mask) and work in a ventilated area with fume extraction.
To clean the airbrush, use X-20 thinner.
Compatibility with Tamiya Colors
The Tamiya X-28 Park Green Gloss paint is compatible with the Tamiya color system (X- and XF- codes), allowing you to combine it with other paints to achieve custom color effects. Model instructions often include mixing ratios such as XF-1:2 + XF-4:1, indicating a blend of 2 parts XF-1 and 1 part XF-4.
