More info
The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of American fighter in 1:48 scale.
The Tamiya kit allows building the American Viking F4U-1D Corsair fighter together with a pilot (a pilot figurine on his machine that can be used to create a unique diorama). First Corsair was not able to take off from aircraft carriers, due to the very poor visibility of the cabin. The Modified 1D version had a raised pilot seat and a new cockpit and they could operate from carrier decks. Incredibly fast and powerfully armed, they were a great threat to the aviation and army of Imperial Japan.
In the box, there is an engine hood, 3 frames with model elements, a frame model with transparent parts of the fairing of the cab and decals (allow reconstruction of the 84th Fighter Squadron, 112 or 913 Fighter Squadron U.S.A.)
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
Paints suggested by the manufacturer for the best effect:

- Tamiya spray AS-8 (hull)
- Tamiya XF-3 + XF-5 (cockpit, chassis chassis, 2:1 proportions)
