The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of German fighter in 1:48 scale.
One of the more successful German construction of World War II was the Focke-Wulf Fw190 fighter. It was a very versatile machine, capable of all kinds of hunting and assault-bombing tasks. In 1944 a new version A8 was launched. It had a much better engine performance and powerful weapons, up to 4 20mm guns and 2 13mm wings MGs. Because of the uninterrupted Allied raids on the Reich, the Focke-Wulf aircraft has been adapted for intercepting tasks. Marked with the A-8 R2, they were much better armored from the front and sides, and one pair of guns were converted to a 30 mm MK 108. The firepower was easily able to handle the American Fortresses and Liberators. The special squadrons of these aircraft needed the cover of standard BF-109 fighters, as they were exposed not only to the bomber bombs but also to their escorts during the attack.
The Tamiya kit allows building a Focke-Wulf Fw190 A-8 or A-8 R2 German fighter plane with a pilot figurine. The box contains 4 frames with model elements, a frame with transparent parts of the cockpit and decals (allow reconstruction of aircraft with JG 3 or 300).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
