The Tamiya 1:35 Pz.Kpfw.V Panther Ausf.G Late Version tank model is a precise self-assembly kit, replicating the German medium tank from World War II. This 1/35 scale model allows you to build a historically significant vehicle, known for its structural improvements and significant role on both the Eastern and Western Fronts.
This Tamiya model kit depicts the Panzerkampfwagen V Panther in its G version, considered a pinnacle of German armored engineering during World War II. The Panther Ausf.G's design drew upon combat experience, incorporating significant modifications compared to earlier Pz.Kpfw.V variants. The vehicle was equipped with a powerful 75 mm KwK 40 L/70 gun, which featured high accuracy and rate of fire, surpassing some heavier calibers in terms of precision and rapid firing. A key design element was its sloped front and side armor, effectively increasing resistance to shell penetration by promoting ricochets.
The G version also introduced significant improvements to the drivetrain, gearbox, and suspension, which had caused issues in previous versions. These modifications significantly enhanced the tank's mobility and reliability in combat conditions. Production of the Panther Ausf.G lasted from March 1944 until the end of the war, with just under 3,000 units manufactured.
This Tamiya model kit set allows you to assemble the German medium tank Pz.Kpfw.V Panther Type G along with two crew miniatures. The box includes the following components:
Assembling the model requires cutting the plastic parts from the sprues, precisely fitting them, and gluing them according to the included assembly guide. Please note that some components require painting before assembly. Once assembly is complete, the model should be painted with model paints following the suggested painting scheme provided in the instruction manual. The final step is to apply the included decals according to the markings or graphics.
