The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of Japanese patrol aircraft in 1:48 scale.
The Tamiya kit allows building the Japanese Nakajima J1N1-Sa Gekko Type 11 fighter together with two crew members. The Japanese headquarters had not been able to find any use for Gekko for quite some time. It was designed as a heavy fighter to cover bombing missions, but it was too weak to perform that role. As a reconnaissance aircraft did not do the worst but were better constructions as Ki-46. Several losses as a result of overnight American raids prompted the Japanese to adopt him as a night fighter. On the back and abdomen of the machine, two additional guns were fired upwards and proved to be very effective weapons against the B-17. Later versions of the aircraft also had a radar and an additional, third cannon on the back, at the cost of dismantling plots on the belly.
In the box, there are 7 frames with aircraft elements, a transparent frame with parts of fairings and decals (allow to reconstruct aircraft from 202, 302, 332, Naval Hunting Group, Yokosuka Hunting Group or Atsugi Hunting Group).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
