The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of American fighter in 1:48 scale.
The Tamiya kit allows building the British Brewster B-339 Buffalo fighter from the WWII with the pilot. The British have struggled with the constant problem of the availability of armaments for almost the entire war. For this reason, they decided to purchase a piece of equipment for the units stationed in Asia from the Americans. The British bought 170 Buffalo fighters and made modifications there. The most important of these is the replacement of the viewfinder and the improvement of cockpit armor. British, Australian and New Zealand pilots used this type of machine. Unfortunately, Buffalo was weaker than the Japanese Zero, and these machines suffered heavy losses at the Asian theater of warfare.
The box contains 2 pieces of panels, 2 frames of model parts, a transparent frame with cockpit elements and decals (they can be used to reconstruct an aircraft in the service of the RAF, Air Force of the East India Army or U.S. Navy).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
Paints suggested by the manufacturer for the best effect:
Plane:
Tamiya XF-21, spray AS-9, AS-22, TS-6 (RAF fuselage and camouflage)
Tamiya XF-49, XF-62, AS-12 spray (Dutch fuselage and camouflage)
