The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of British bomber in 1:48 scale.
The Tamiya kit allows you to build a model of the British heavy bomber Avro Lancaster B Mk.I / III from World War II. Lancaster was the most successful British bomber of its time. In the standard version he was able to carry 6356 kg bombs, and after modifications (Special versions) Tallboy bomb (5448 kg) and Grand Slam (9979 kg). It is interesting that bombs used in Lancaster were designed by Polish engineer Władysław Świątecki. The deck armaments were weaker than the American bombers, but the RAF bombers were mainly used in nights. By the end of the war, more than 7,000 Lancers were produced in the Mk.I, II, III and X versions, almost half of them lost. During service, these bombers dropped over 600,000 tons of bombs during 156,000 combat operations.
The box contains 2 elements of the hull, 9 frames with the plane elements, 2 frames with transparent elements of the cabin and firing stations, 8 transparent glazings of the aircraft, the crew of the pilot, radio operator, gunner, observer. Decals allow you to reconstruct the aircraft from Squadrons 35, 103, 424 or 550).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
