Tamiya 1:35 US 2.5 tons 6x6 Cargo Truck

The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of American truck in 1:35 scale.

The condition of successful fighting is good supply of troops. With every army follow motorized barracks, even today air trasportrs. Ammunition and other war supplies on the front line or advanced bases were the basis of supply systems during the Second World War. The 2.5 ton GMC CCKW trucks operated the US Army's forces. The most important role was played after the invasion of Normandy, when allied columns in the direction of Germany, impossibly stretching their supply lines. Six thousand of these trucks served the Red Ball Express daily, carrying more than 12,000 tons of war material a day, allowing the Allies to continue fighting. These trucks served in the US Army until the mid-60s, built over half a million copies.

The Tamiya kit allows you to build 2.5 ton 6x6 GMC CCKW truck model. In the box we find 5 frames with plastic elements, glass and decals (allow to recreate 1st and 3rd Armored Vehicles, Armored Division, 10th Armored Division and Red Ball Express Transport Corps)

Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
