Tamiya 1:35 Chieftain Mk.V

The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of British main battle tank in 1:35 scale.

Even during World War II, it was realized that the multiplicity of types and destinations of tanks in wartime was too expensive. The aim was to unify the function of armored vehicles, which resulted in the creation of Centurion tank, the first main battle tank in the history. Its successor at the beginning of the 60’s was Chieftain. It was faster and better armed than its counterparts in other armies. The driving position has been changed to reclining, so a sloping front armor with reinforced composite could be adopted, which resulted in an increase in its durability. It has served in The British Army for nearly 30 years and was produced in 12 development versions.

Tamiya plastic model kit allows assembly of the British Chieftain Mk. 5 main battle tank with 3 crew members. Box includes 2 parts of the hull, 6 sprues with model elements, rubber tracks, and decals.

Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
