Tamiya 1:35 Pz.Kpfw.III Ausf.L

The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of German medium tank in 1:35 scale.

According to the assumptions from the 30s, Panzer III tanks were to be the primary the weapon of the German armored units. In the course of the war, it turned out that this structure must be constantly improved. This was due to very rapid development of armored vehicles. Already in 1939, Heinz Guderian signaled the need to adapt the turret to mount a more powerful cannon. This was confirmed by the French campaign and the fight on the eastern front, where the panzers ran into modern Soviet tanks. In 1942, A new development version of Pz.Kpfw. III - Ausf. L was introduced. It had improved KwK 50 gun, that had an increased length of the barrel. In addition, they had increased armor and because of the rise of weight, changes also have to be made to the suspension and engine. Panzer III tank in this variant couldn’t compete with Soviet T-34 on smaller distances. In the later stages of the war, his place was taken by new versions of Pz.Kpfw. IV (F/G/H/J) and the Panthers. Very good chassis of Panzer III served as the basis for self-propelled guns, tank destroyers, and assault guns.

Tamiya kit allows the assembly of the model of the German medium tank Panzer III Ausf. L along with the commander. The box includes a part of the hull, 5 sprues with model elements, rubber tracks, and decals (allow reconstructions of 502. Heavy Tank Battalion vehicles, 18th or 10th Armored Divisions).

Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
