The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of German heavy tank in 1:35 scale.
The King Tiger was the heaviest tank used during World War II. It was designed as a response to the new Soviet T-34/85 tanks produced in large number at this time. Tiger B had an armor capable to bounce any Soviet bullet at longer distances, while his own 88 mm. KwK 43 L71 gun was capable of piercing a 17 cm thick armor at a distance of one kilometer. Powerful armor and advantage in firepower were not enough to win every fight. The vehicle also had a number of defects. The complicated suspension and his maintenance, which was extremely important at nearly 70 tonnes. The weight of the tank also affected its speed and maneuverability, as the Germans did not have a powerful engine to make the vehicle achieve full combat potential at high speed. Failure of propulsion units and traction occurred quite often. The last problem, probably the most important, was the cost and complexity of production. Over the last year of the war, fewer than 500 vehicles of this type were manufactured. It was definitely not enough to change the course of the war.
The Tamiya kit allows building Second World War German Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf.B tank with the Henschel turret, along with the commanders figurine. The box contains 2 parts of the hull, 5 frames with plastic parts, a screw for attaching the gun, a mesh for making the engine covers, rubber tracks and decals.
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.

Idealne dopasowanie gąsienic i elementów układu jezdnego. efekt końcowy naprawde robi wrażenie.
Udany model
Polecam początkującym. Zero pułapek, świetne spasowanie, łatwe sklejanie. Wszystko do siebie pasuje. Frajda gwarantowana.
Bardzo przeciętny, chyba ze lubisz wyzwania
Model został opracowany 1993, co mocno rzuca się w oczy, jeżeli skontrastować go z rzeczywistym Tygrysem II. Nie polecam nikomu próbującemu (w rozsądnym nakładzie pracy) odtworzyć jakiegoś rzeczywistego Tygrysa, za wyjątkiem 213 z La Gleize w stanie obecnym - można wtedy pominąć wiele elementów z wypraski a także darować sobie waloryzację metalem i zimmeritem; wszystkie włazy najlepiej zakleić zamknięte, et voilà! 213 de La Gleize!
Dodanie do tego modelu przez Tamiyę elementów wnętrza wieży (podstawa działa, siedzenia dowódcy i ładowniczego, półki na amunicję) jest raczej nieporozumieniem, bo cała reszta wnętrza ani trochę nie przypomina oryginału. Jeżeli ktoś porwie się na to wnętrze, musi sporo usunąć i poprawić po projektantach modelu, zanim weźmie się za budowę.
Na całym poszyciu znajdzie się mniejsze i większe niedociągnięcia, w większości zrozumiałe dla tej skali oraz dokładności modeli z początku lat 90-tych. Poza jednym: tylny właz wieżyczki jest zwyczajnym science-fiction, wariacją na temat. Na wyprasce znajdą się inne, mniejsze i bardzo dokładnie odwzorowane elementy, dziwne więc, że tak duża i łatwa do znalezienia na zdjęciach część została tak wypaczona przez projektantów.

Świetna jakość produktu
Model zawiera bardzo dużo drobnych części i szczegółów co jest plusem.
Samo złożenie nie sprawiło większych problemów. Części bardzo precyzyjnie odlane, poza kilkoma małymi wyjątkami gdzie trzeba było przypiłowac, wszystko pasowało idealnie.
