The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of German medium tank in 1:35 scale.
The most common produced German tank of World War II was the Panzer IV. Originally designed as a support vehicle, however, is the only one of the early armored vehicles, it was capable of being fitted with a larger caliber gun. The Panzer IV tanks from the F2 version were fitted with the KwK 43 L / 43 long gun, and the G-version in the L / 48. In addition to armament, armor has also been improved. In the H version, the front armor was thick of 80 mm, and the possibility of reinforcement with additional armor plates. There were also side skirts (Schürzen), which task was to protect the tank against anti-tank rifles and cumulative missiles (bazooka, PIAT). The armament of the tank was also linked to its weight, and the gearbox was also changed. Despite the decrease in top speed, the torque has increased, and thus the maneuverability of the tank and its acceleration. By the end of the war, 3774 vehicles of this H version were produced.
The Tamiya kit includes the model of the German Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf.H Sd.Kfz.161 / 1 with the commander (in plain or winter uniform). In the box there is a hull element, 5 frames with parts of the model, rubber tracks and decals (allow reconstructions of the vehicles of the 2nd, 4th, 20th or 24th Panzer Division).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
