The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of German anti-aircraft vehicle in 1:35 scale.
One of the biggest threats to the German armored columns in the initial stage of the war was the air force of the enemy. So it was decided to build a self-propelled anti-air cannon, which will be able to work with armored and motorized units. The vehicle was based on a very good and reliable half-track artillery tractor Sd.Kfz. 7, on which the fourfold coupled anti-aircraft 2 cm Flakvierling 38 cannon was mounted. The first models were introduced into service in 1940. Self-propelled anti-aircraft Sd.Kfz. 7/1 served as the subunits of anti-air cannons of Wehrmacht, Luftwaffe, and SS. There were about 750 vehicles produced.
Tamiya kit allows the assembly of the model of the German self-propelled anti-aircraft gun-20mm Flakvierling Sd.Kfz. 7/1 with a crew of five. The box includes a chassis component, 7 sprues with parts of the model, mesh, 2 metal axles, rubber tracks, wheels, and decals (allow to reconstruct vehicles from 24th Panzer Division, Gross Deutschland Division, Herman Goering Panzer Division, the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd SS Panzer Division).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
