More info

The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of German main battle tank in 1:35 scale.

A successor of T55, T62 tank was a failure. It was too slow and its armament was unsatisfactory. Almost immediately Russians began working on another tank, essential for the Red Army. In 1973, work was completed, and the result was a vehicle of the second generation - T-72. For off-road performance enhancement, it was decided to reduce the weight. The crew was reduced by a loader, who was replaced with the automatic system of cannon reloading. The main armament of the tank was 125 mm cannon, supported by the already mentioned automatic system and laser rangefinder. The design was so successful, that the T-72 lived to see several modifications, and so far, more than 20,000 of these vehicles were built. This is one of the most exported tanks in history, came to be equipped by 40 countries around the world. T-72M1, the export version of the tank was equipped with a new rangefinder and reinforced front armor. Its production began in 1981. In Poland, on the basis of this tank, its far-reaching modernization - PT-91 Twardy, was created. Its classified as 2.5 generation tank.

Tamiya kit allows building the T-72M1 MBT tank with the commander. Box includes a part of the hull, 4 frames with model parts, rubber tracks, cables, wire, rubber fuel pipe, photo-etched parts of the engine cover and decals.

Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing.
