The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of American fighter in 1:48 scale.
During the cold war, there was a technological war between USSR and US. Most of the military equipment of that period was a response to the armaments of the other side of the conflict- the F-15 was designed as a response to the Soviet Mig-25. However, it turned out to be far superior to his competitor, due to erroneous estimates of his performance by intelligence and American engineers. The F-15 was created as an air superiority fighter, capable of fighting both enemy airplanes and ground forces. It is armed with a Vulcan Gatling gun and AIM missiles, bombs and air-to-ground rockets. A feature that distinguishes it from similar machines, including its successor F-22, is the relatively low cost of production. At Eagle, some of the expensive components were dropped for simplicity, which did not affect the effectiveness of the battle, and significantly reduced the cost of the program.
The Tamiya kit allows building an American McDonnell Douglas F-15C fighter with a pilot. In the box, there are 5 frames with elements of the model, a frame with transparent parts and decals.
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
