More info
The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of British night fighter in 1:48 scale.
The Tamiya kit allows building the Bristol Beaufighter TF.Mk.X (torpedo) fighter version of WWII, with a crew of two (pilot and observer). Although originally intended for the hunting role, the Beaufighters were filled with a number of other aviation tasks. Some of the planes were adapted for enemy combat and entered the Coastal Command. TF.Mk.X had a new radar for submarine search, and its additional armaments consisted of two bombs or torpedoes mounted under the fuselage and eight rockets under the wings. MGs from the wings were removed and additional fuel tanks were installed in their place. Guns remained in the same place, but their ammunition stock was increased.
In the box, there are 6 frames with parts of the aircraft, frame with transparent elements of the fairings and decals (allow reconstruction of the aircraft of 236 or 254 Coast Defense Squadron).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
