More info

The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of French main battle tank in 1:35 scale.

Introduced in 1992 to the French Army, the Leclerc Main Battle Tank is one of the most advanced armored vehicles in the world. It is characterized by excellent driving characteristics and a powerful, computer-assisted weapon. Leclerc achieves a top speed of 71 km / h (55 km / h) and has a very high acceleration. The main armament is a smooth-running, 120mm automatic cannon, with a stock of 40 rounds. Its operation facilitates an on-board computer, taking into account vehicle speed, aim and weather conditions, which provides a chance to hit of 95%. With a rate of fire of 12 rounds per minute, Leclerc presents itself as an extremely dangerous opponent. Three-man tank crew security provides a composite, modular armor. The Leclerc tank has been developed in two versions - Series 2 and S XXI. Series 2 has been equipped with a better on-board computer, cooling system, as well as more modern sight system components. Between 1991 and 2007, over 800 Leclerc tanks of all types were produced. They are the primary combat force of land forces in France and the United Arab Emirates.

The Tamiya kit allows assembling and building of the modern French Leclerc Series 2 main battle tank with the commander figurine. In the box, there is a hull element, 5 frames with parts of the model, cast resin wheels, a compact frame with transparent visors and lights, rubber tracks and decals (allow reconstruction of vehicles from the 2nd Armored Brigade).

Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
