Tamiya 1:35 Flak 36 88mm DAK

The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of German anti-tank gun and motorcycle with crew in 1:35 scale.

Condor Legion, which took an active part in the Spanish Civil War, held an anti-aircraft guns FlaK 18. It turned out that these guns are ideally suited as an anti-tank weapons. Combat experience gained in Spain led to the modernization and construction of a number of amendments to increase the combat potential of “88’s”. Improved model was called FlaK 36. Their basis were changed, barrel and the gun carriage were modified. Battle value of the new Flak has been confirmed in France, where it was the only German weapon capable of destroying the French Char B1 and British Matilda tanks. But the real field of possibilities were plains of North Africa and Russia, where the cannon could show its strength, range and accuracy.

Set proposed by Tamiya Company contains a parts allowing to assembly the model of the anti-German 8.8 cm FlaK 36 gun with an eight-person crew, ammunition boxes, binoculars on a tripod and a Zündapp motorcycle. The box includes a 5-sprues with parts, and decals.

Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
