The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of British assault aircraft in 1:48 scale.
The most famous Spitfire fighters have fought in the Battle of Britain, after which they became a symbol of the resistance and persistence of the British Empire. It must be borne in mind, however, that these planes were developed throughout the war, and even after the war. By the end of 1943, pilots had begun to encounter the first Messerschmitt Bf. 109F, the latest German fighter aircraft. The reply to the Luftwaffe technical offensive was Spitfire Mk.V. It had a newer engine, a propeller, reinforced wingspan and steel darts. This greatly increased the speed and maneuverability of the machine. Airplanes were equipped with wings A (8x HP), B (2x cannon, 4xKM) or C (2-4x cannon, 2-4x HP). For the first time also the cut ends of the wings were used, which greatly improved maneuverability at low ceilings. Tamiya kit allows you to build a British WWII Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb fighter with the pilot.
The box contains 2 frames with elements of the model, frame with transparent elements (including two fairings, straight or convex) and decals (allow reconstruction of 243 or 316 fighter aircraft or A.G. Malana with Fighter Command).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
