The kit proposed by Revell company includes a plastic model kit of American transport aircraft in 1:48 scale.
The nature of the Vietnam War, during which the clear front line did not exist, caused the American forces to be frequently flown from place to place. The problem was the lack of adequate air support for troops on the ground. Standard assault planes did not have enough ammunition to be able to circulate over the battlefield, so the concept of a new type of aircraft - near air support - was born. The first was the Spooky AC-47D, a modification of the C-47 Skytrain. On its left side, three M134 minigames were mounted, with the theoretical rate of fire of 18,000. missiles per minute. The rifles could be operated by shooters or remotely by a pilot. AC-47 rifles were very effective against the hastened units of the North Vietnamese Army and Vietcong, but the machine itself was too sensitive to the enemy fire. In the course of the war, AC-119s and AC-130s were added, which gradually replaced Spooky.
The Revell kit allows building the model of the American heavy air support AC-47D Spooky. In the box, there are 5 frames with airplane elements, a transparent cockpit of the pilot cockpit and a decal.
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
