The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of American main battle tank in 1:35 scale.
One of the most modern tanks in the world is American Abrams MBT. Since the early 80’s, it became the basis of armoured forces of U.S. Army and Marines. In their composition, they participated in both operations in Iraq and the war in Afghanistan. Tank proved to be extremely robust and well-armed. None of Abrams has been destroyed by an enemy tank. High resistance to cumulative and kinetic projectiles provides composite and reactive armor of up to 960 mm, which precise composition and structure are shrouded in mystery. The main armament is 120 mm M1A1 smoothbore gun, which is supported by the stabilization system, computer and the latest viewfinders and night vision. All these elements allow efficient damaging of the enemy vehicles from a distance of 3 kilometers and more. Depending on their role, tanks have extra equipment such as mine plows, TUSK (Tank Urban Survival Kit), additional armor or electronics. The M1 Abrams project is still actively developed and the debut of model A3 is planned for 2020.
Tamiya kit allows assembly of the American M1A1 Abrams MBT model with mine plow and two crew members (commander and loader). Box includes a part of the hull, 6 sprues with model elements, net for cargo basket, gun mounting screw, wire, transparent plastic visors, rubber tracks, and decals.
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
