Tamiya 1:35 Leopard 2 A5

The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of German main battle tank in 1:35 scale.

At the end of the 70s in the Bundeswehr, a new primary tank appeared - Leopard 2. It was the worlds first 3rd generation vehicle, equipped with all the latest weapons systems. Primary weapon is 120 mm, gun which is complemented by 2 MG3 machine guns. The tank has a stabilization system (can lead a fire while driving), digital fire control systems, laser rangefinder and advanced night vision equipment allowing to run battle during the night. The main change introduced in Leopard 2A5 was a change of the turret structure, additional armor was mounted on the front with arrowhead section and large angles of inclination. Hull armor of tank was strengthened and all systems were modified to be more modern. The changes also concerned gun mount that has been adapted for installation of more powerful weapons in the future. Leopard tanks are used in 20 countries around the world, including Polish Army. They took part in the Balkan conflict and the war in Afghanistan.

Tamiya kit allows model assembly of the modern German Leopard 2A5 tank base with the commander. The box includes a part of the vehicle body, 2 turret elements, 4 sprues, strings, mesh baskets for the turret, transparent viewfinder, rubber tracks, and decals (allow for the reconstruction of vehicles from 33 or 214. Armoured Battalion).

Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
