The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of German light tank in 1:35 scale.
Panzer II tank was the primary armored vehicle of Wehrmacht in the early campaigns of World War II. Difficulties in implementing the production of new types of tanks - Panzer III and IV - resulted in these light tanks being the major part of the Panzerwaffe forces. Despite the relatively weak armament, which was 20 mm cannon, they fit very well for the Blitzkrieg doctrine, as vehicles fast and maneuverable. The design of the tank was continuously developed and improved. The first improvement, related primarily to powertrain and chassis. Ausf. C version was introduced into mass production in 1937, had a reinforced armor and improved cooling system. Some of the later tanks also received a modified hatch for the commander, equipped with observation turret.
Tamiya kit allows assembly of the German Panzer II Ausf. C light tank model, along with the commander and three accompanying infantry soldiers. Box includes a part of the hull, 7 sprues with parts of the tank, rubber tracks, photo-etched elements of the exhaust system and decals (allows reconstruction of vehicles of the 4th Panzer Division from the period of September 1939).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
