The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of American military car in 1:35 scale.
One of the most peculiar vehicles of the US Army during the Cold War was the M561. It was designed for transport in difficult off-road conditions in south-east Asia. The main assumption was to create a truck capable of operating on the very muddy ground and capable of overcoming water obstacles. The Goat range has such capabilities, thanks to its innovative design. The vehicle looks like it has been towed behind, but thanks to a special transmission, it has a 6x6 drive and two swivel axles. Thanks to that, and with the 103 horsepower engine, the vehicles were doing well in the field. The disadvantage was the very loud operation of the power unit and the complicated maintenance and maintenance of the vehicle. The M561 served in the US armed forces until the mid-1980s, gradually displaced by the new all-terrain vehicle HMMWV.
Tamiya kit allows building the American off-road car M561 Gama Goat version with the driver. In the box, we will find 4 frames with car elements, a clear glass, and decals (allow reconstruction of the 82nd Airborne Division or the 3rd Marine Division).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
