Tamiya 1:35 Sd.Kfz.251/1 Ausf.D Stuka zu Fuss

The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of German half-track in 1:35 scale.

Motorized and mechanized infantry of the Wehrmacht in the first weeks of Operation Barbarossa noticed that in the struggle against the masses of Soviet troops will need weapons of greater firepower. They decided on a very simple way: the fusion of Nebelwerfer, which had a powerful firepower and the armored personnel carrier Sd.Kfz. 251 giving mobility in almost any terrain. Construction of the vehicle differed from the standard conveyor with extra steel frame, to which 6 missiles 280 or 320 mm were attached. They were fired electrically from inside the vehicle, and the accompanying characteristic howling sound, like a siren of Stuka dive bomber, gave vehicles nickname Stuka zu Fuss. It used 3 types of rockets: demolition, high-explosive and incendiary. Missiles range exceeded 2 km.

The kit includes Tamiya model of German armored personnel carrier Mtl. SPW. Sd.Kfz. 251/1 Ausf. D mit Schwerer Wurfrahmen 40 Stuka Zu Fuss with four crew members. The kit includes 6 sprues parts with vehicle components, rubber tracks, and decals.

Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
