Tamiya 1:35 Sd.Kfz.124 Wespe w/105mm LeFH-18 gun

The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of German self-propelled gun in 1:35 scale.

The biggest asset of the German Wehrmacht was the speed and dynamics of the Blitzkrieg. Breaking the line and deep offensive behind enemy lines required not only a large number of tanks and motorized infantry, but also a line of support weapons. The answer to the demand of the army was the design of the self-propelled howitzer Wespe. The vehicle was built on the chassis of obsolete, too poorly armed and armored Panzer II. After the changes in the structure of the hull, such as moving the engine compartment and the driver seat, there was open topped combat compartment with 105 mm leFH 18/2 howitzer installed. As fire support of armored divisions, Wespe debuted on the Eastern Front in 1943 and quickly gained recognition from soldiers and commanders at the highest level. Until the entry of Soviet troops to occupied Warsaw, where the vehicles were produced in FAMO factories, there were almost 700 pieces built.

Tamiya plastic model kit allows assembly of the German self-propelled howitzer Wespe along with two crew members. Box includes 5 sprues, piece of hull, rubber tracks and decals. The model can be assembled with the moving tracks.

Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
